Terms of Service

As a customer of Stickle Lawn Care with whom you have conducted business, you must agree to the terms of service as provided herein regarding your use of this service.

Lawn Mowing Service:

Mow front back and side yard with lawn mower. String trim around trees, beds, fences. Please protect trees with wrap as they may be damaged during string trimming. Edge/trim along sidewalk areas weekly. Blow driveway, porch and walkways clean.

Mowing Day and Time:

We work Monday thru Friday, and reserve the right to work Saturdays & Sundays due to holidays, weather delays, or equipment delays. We are in certain areas on certain days, so you will be assigned a specific mowing day. We follow the same route every week, so you will notice we arrive about the same time each week. However, as we add customers, it may change, so we cannot guarantee a time of day.


Wet grass is very hard to mow. Please do not water your lawn on the morning of your scheduled mowing day. If you are scheduled to have Tuesdays as a mowing day, for example, do not have the water set to go on Tuesday morning. We also suggest not watering the day before your scheduled mowing.

Mowing Season:

The growing and mowing season is typically from April and ends the last week in October. Our weekly mowing service is a general agreement between the customer and Stickle Lawn Care to provide service for the length of the season. The exceptions would be real estate sale, illness or vacation mows. You may cancel service at any time.  We will continue to come out to your property from November-December (once every two weeks or as needed) and January-March (monthly or as needed).  The service will auto-renew the following season unless we receive a cancellation request.


One of our top priorities is to show up on the designated mowing day.  Generally, we are a day behind when a holiday occurs during the week.

Items in the Grass:

Please do not leave animal waste in the yard.  Toys, hoses, pots, tents, bikes, skateboards and an assortment of other items are often left in the grass, assuming we will move them. We are there to mow and trim, so please have your yard clean. For large items such as trampolines, plastic swings, etc. we will move if you agree not to hold us responsible for damaging them because many are weathered & easy to break. Lawn technicians try to keep gates closed during and after the service, but we recommend having your pet indoors on your mowing days and are not responsible for missing pets.


As you are probably aware, we often get thunderstorms in Virginia in the afternoons of summer. If we get rained out, we generally make up the mowing the next day. If we get rained out early in the week we are usually a day behind schedule for the entire week. Weekends are our make up days.  If we miss a week due to rain, we simply get back on schedule the following week.  You will not get billed for service the week we skipped.  However a one-time price adjustment will be necessary at a rate of 1.5x the weekly rate.  For example, a $39 weekly service will adjust to $58.50 for the next visit then will return to the normal weekly rate.

Sprinkler Heads:

If we damaged a sprinkler head we will fix it free of charge. If the sprinkler system is installed properly this problem will not occur. The most common problem is that the head sits too high off the ground.

Broken Windows:

Stickle clients must allow for up to 7 business days upon glass breakage before expecting a repair to be completed.  Stickle will replace the shattered glass and but will not be held liable for replacing the entire door and hardware.

Automatic Renewal:

All services (including lawn mowing, tree and shrub trimming, leaf removal, and mulching) are automatically renewed each season unless you contact us and cancel. Only the services you had the previous season will be renewed automatically. If you want additional services you must contact Stickle Lawn Care and schedule the additional services.


We generally service customers throughout the entire lawn-mowing season, which ends the last week of October. If needed, you may cancel at anytime.


All services are billed on a credit/debit card. Notifications & Receipts will be sent before/after payment respectfully. Accounts not paid within 30 days of the invoice date (e.g. due to expired credit card) shall be subject to all collection fees plus attorney fees, if necessary.
